It’s pretty easy to do this I just flashed the new radio and my phone is fine, I’ll have to spend some time with it to see if it does increase signal strength and hopefully battery life like stated in over at XDA-Developers.
I shouldn’t have to remind you to make a backup in case anything goes wrong but it’s pretty straight forward just make sure your current radio is 2.22.19.26i. This is just a radio update pulled from the leaked DMD64 update coming soon so it will work with any ROM or recovery image.

I’m keeping a close eye on TAT Home because it looks like it’s going to be the best home replacement app coming anytime soon.
Here is what TATMobileUI has been twitting today:
TAT Home UX Preview available in April for phones with WVGA and FWVGA with Android 2.1, such as HTC Nexus One and Motorola Droid.
Right now we don’t plan to release TAT Home on Android Market, as our customers are phone vendors and operators, not consumers.
If you want us to release TAT Home on Android market – help me convince the product manager by telling what you would pay for it

April is the month other Android phones will start getting 2.1 so the Nexus One and Droid might not be the only ones that will be able to preview the app, which is great news for early adopters. I don’t mind TAT home not being available in the Android Market as long as it’s easy to install and fairly priced, but if you ask me I would pay anywhere from $10 up to $20 based on the final product.

Here is a video of 2.1 on a Motorola Droid courtesy of Kellex from Droid-Life, installing this on a Droid is not for the faint of heart so don’t try it unless you know what you’re doing.
It seems to be easier to flash 2.1 on the Droid Eris, but remember to flash at your own risk. Here is a picture that shows the Eris on 2.1

This picture from Tmonews shows the click will be $129.99 with a 2 year contract and $329.99 with out a contract, which makes it T-Mobile’s cheapest Android phone yet. The launch date has also been verified to be March 10th.

If you are one of the many Verizon costumers waiting for a Nexus One compatible with their network, the wait is almost over. We all knew it was coming in spring as stated by Google and we can tell it’ll be soon because a CDMA version just got approved by the FCC. It will most likely be announced during CTIA which starts March 23 and there have been some rumors of it being released the same day (remember January 5th?).
And for Vodafone costumers the wait is almost done as well, sources (which I guess decide to stay anonymous) have informed the Telegraph that it’ll be released in April.
It looks like Google’s plans to take over the world are now inevitable, but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing, or does it?
